Sumary

The paper discuss the disciplinary matrix of the argentinian water law. Based on a critical analysis of the 40’s sistematization of the nineteenth century legislation, the paper proposes to account for the main changes occurred at several levels (theoretical, constitutional, administrative and factual) in order to discuss the way that the principles and assumptions of the discipline must be built nowadays.
