By Canesini, Melina, Cappellino, Maria Elena, Mendiburu, María José y Randon Salgado, Fermín Antonio

Sumary

Our investigation s main goal is to deal with the absence, in the curriculum of our School of Law, of contents related to certain norms concerning the problematic of vulnerable sectors of our society. We will focus in three of those sectors: Contraventional laws, the Rights of the peasants and the Rights of the child. We are going to start considering that this absence in the University´s curriculum has an influence in the professional practice of legal workers, and it has social consequences, like the indifference to this reality, and the difficulty to revert this situation. We know that it is not the only factor that makes those sectors vulnerable, but the ignorance of the available tools and the lack of knowledge of those lawyers (potential magistrates and legislators) who could be in the position to help them, have a huge incidence at the moment of reducing that vulnerability. So, we wonder ourselves, in what degree is the situation of vulnerable sectors present in the curriculum of Laws Studies, and therefore: are we prepared to face problems that are related with these sectors?
