International Seminar: Intellectual property and access to knowledge. The University’s role.
The Seminar is organized by the Law School of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), and sponsored by the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, with the participation of distinguished local and international specialists. Its objective is the debate of intellectual property, its relation to the access to knowledge and the influence of technological changes. It will address three key subjects: i) access to culture, education and information through Internet; ii) copyright law in Argentina and iii) policies for the protection and dissemination of universities’ R&D results.

3. Intellectual Property, R&D Policies and the University: a) The role of the University in the generation of public assets; b) Intellectual Property rights on developments generated within the University; c) Management of R&D results: Dissemination, protection, commercialization; d) Technology Transfer Offices.
